'even if' was written just before christmas of 2002 for my girlfriend jennie. I was making her an audio christmas card that included stupid songs and messages from her friends. the chorus was originally sung by what sounded like muppets.

I remember being on the bus going down broadway and realizing that all of my post 9/11 angst seemed to be dissolving now that I had truly fallen in love. like: it's fine now, let it blow up.

this entire recording was created in her bedroom, which I remember as being a multi-colored dope-soaked pillow cave.
